Ok, there's a bit of a story here, but I tell it because genuinely pleasant restaurant interactions are so rare in my experience, I think they should be highlighted for everyone. If you don't want to read through this novella of a review, I'll cut to the chase right now. Eat at Opa Cafe and thank me later. Now, here's by experience with Opa Cafe: I placed an order for my team early in the morning on DoorDash for a specified delivery time. About an hour from the set time I had noticed that I still hadn't received confirmation of the order from Opa Cafe. I called the restaurant to make sure it hadn't been missed and it turned out that DoorDash had never forwarded the order. The employee that had taken my call gave me the owner's direct cell phone number and asked that I call him in case he was able to find the order where she couldn't. No problem, these things happen and given the amount of time left before I needed the order to arrive, I was willing to try to get this resolved without having to interrupt my team's day to pick a new place for lunch. When I called the owner and explained the situation he very quickly checked DoorDash, saw that there was no record of my scheduled delivery and asked me to send him a screen grab of the order so he could have his team begin preparing the order to get it to me by the set time. He even told me that if DoorDash continued to give him grief, he would make sure a member of his staff brought me the order! About five minutes after we finished speaking I received a notification from DoorDash that my order was confirmed. The order was then picked up and headed towards me just in time for my team's lunch. I then received a text from the owner letting me know that one of the dishes wasn't picked up by the DoorDash driver (yeah, I've got thoughts on DoorDash) and that he was already working on getting me that final item. Finally, with all of my items in hand thanks to the owner of Opa Cafe's excellent customer service, we ate. Now, with that whole Ahab's Whale of a story done, I'd like to address the food. Simply delicious. I had never had shawarma before today, and Opa Cafe made me a lover of the thing. Further, everyone on my team really enjoyed the food as well. I will be eating here again when next I feel the hankering for Mediterranean food. Please check this place out. With the food as delicious as it was, and the service as above-and-beyond as it was, this place truly deserves your time.

Thank you Yelp for leading us to this hidden neighborhood gem! Layla was incredibly welcoming to us and answered with kind patience our many questions about the menu. We each loved what we ordered! The inside is clean and had a nice bathroom. My god, have never had chocolate baklava- so yummy! The falafels were perfect- crispy outside and tender inside Be aware of parking signs- we had a $90 ticket when we returned to our car Not the restaurants fault at all just be sure to read carefully when parking.

Love this Mediterranean spot in SF! Got a salmon plate. Menu has a wide selection of Mediterranean and more - plates, wraps, salads, and even burgers, burritos, coffee, sandwiches, smoothies, Mediterranean sweets, breakfast, snacks, drinks, and more!! Been here 3 times and will be back for more Portion sizes are large and filling. They also give a lot of hummus for the salads
